What a great Friday dance last week with almost 150 people. That set a new record for the last couple years. There was lots of fun, young and positive energy. I hope you’ll join the fun this Friday as I teach the ever popular Country Two-Step for the pre-dance lesson at 7pm.

Dance Events 2018-3-16

I’ll be teaching a great Country Two-Step lesson at 7pm. Bring some friends to an easy lesson that gradually adds new moves to your repertoire. The Country Two-Step is the most popular dance at the Barn. Come to the lesson, meet some new friends and learn how easy it is to get started. And of course you can stay for the dance afterwards until 11pm with a variety of other dance styles including plenty of Country Two-Steps.

You can Celebrate your special events on Friday nights too. Bring family and friends for your birthdays, anniversaries and more. Dancing is a great way to bond with them in a fun way, and it’s healthy too. You’ll see it happens almost every Friday that people are bringing guests to enjoy dancing while celebrating life!

• Last Friday we had 2 birthdays and one was a large group celebrating an 18th Birthday. Sorry no pictures that I know of.

Our Celebrations

Our YouTube channel just popped over 300 Subscribers and we are getting 2,000+ views/week now of our videos. Jimmi and I recorded several new ones recently. Once I edit them I will be posting them soon. Subscribe to our channel and get an email when they go live. We are aiming for 1,000 subscribers please subscribe. It’s free.

Sunday Fundays

Sunday Fundays now include a Dance Workshop (5-6pm) and Open Dancing Time (6-8pm) with music related to the Dance Workshop. There are two of these Fundays each month, one for West Coast Swing and one for Line Dancing.

WORKSHOPS

5-6pm • Workshop $12/person

Swing Workshop

UPDATE: These workshops require knowledge of the 12 Basics of WCS. They will have a focus on technique as well as learning new moves and patterns using some of the 12 Basics and beyond.

Line Dance Workshop

These workshops will be a new Line Dance at an Improver level or 1.5 level. We recommend knowledge of several beginner Line Dances.

OPEN DANCING

6-8pm • $8/person or $15/2 people

Swing music for WCS, ECS a few Nightclub Two-steps and if requested a Country Two-step and Waltz. Bring a friend or get your friends to meet at the Barn for some fun dancing time.

LINE DANCING WORKSHOPS

5-6pm • Workshop $12/person

These workshops will be a new Line Dance at an Improver level or 1.5 level. We recommend knowledge of several beginner Line Dances.

OPEN DANCING

6-8pm • $8/person or $15/2 people

Variety of music for the Line Dances. Levels include 1, 2 & 3. Dave will do a quick walkthrough of each dance then play the music. Bring your line dance friends and enjoy a couple hours of line dancing.
